Prayer for the Beatification and Canonization of Servant of God,
Bishop Barthélémy Bruguière, the First Apostolic Vicar of Korea
Bishop Barthélémy Bruguière, the First Apostolic Vicar of Korea
O Lord God, to whom all the saints in Heaven give praise and glory,
you allow the Holy Church to venerate and imitate the example of saints
who offered their lives, giving witness to their faith in Jesus Christ.
Look graciously on the merits of Bishop Bruguière,
who, with firm conviction, volunteered himself for the mission in Korea
and endured countless illnesses and hardships
with the sole intention of evangelizing Korea.
He wholeheartedly offered himself for the mission.
Grant, we pray, that moved by his great spirit of martyrdom
and rooted in the theological virtues of faith, hope and love,
we may persevere in our faith amid all the hardships of life.
We ask you, through the merits and intercession of Bishop Bruguière,
to protect us in this world and to manifest your glory
by heeding the intentions of our prayer (mention your request here).
We humbly implore you that your Servant, Bishop Bruguière,
be counted among your saints in Heaven.
